The Radio has plans of expanding its network coverage to other parts of the country in the near future. Kasama Radio Station Limited utilizes an adult contemporary music format, which combines new chart-topping hits with familiar songs that are acknowledged as timeless favorites in order to attract listeners from virtually every age and economic background. The total estimated listenership as at now is approximately 1,500,000 ( One Million Five Hundred).
The station is located in Kasama Town, the headquarters of the Northern Province of Zambia. It is situated on Plot 2609/A, off Isoka Road.
Kasama town is located on the Great North Road from Mpika through Kasama to Mbala and on to Mpulungu, at the tip of Lake Tanganyika. Kasama is in the heartland of the Bemba ethnic group, whose Paramount Chief Chitimukulu maintains his headquarters 9 kilometres (6 mi) from Malole, which is 51 kilometres (32 mi) east of the Kasama Town.
The town has a number of modern facilities, among them are a Shoprite Checkers branch, Budget Stores, Zambeef, local supermarkets such as PJT, J.B. as well as a Chinese Supermarket called Fubest and some bakeries.
Kasama is also home to the largest Coffee company in the country by the name of Kasama Coffee which grows and preserves coffee for export. It is also home to the Kasama Sugar Company which produces sugar for local consumption as well as export.
After the Northern Province Tourism and Investment Exposition which was held from 20th to 24thNovember, 2018 in Kasama, there are a lot of big companies which have shown interest in bringing their investments to the Province.
Kasama Radio Station Limited uses English and Bemba but we have plans of including other local languages such as Mambwe and Namwanga in our broadcasts.

Very soon Kasama will have a modern International Airport which is under construction to accommodate bigger planes.
The Northern University is also to be constructed in the near future as well as the biggest specialised Hospital in the country.
The town has branches of Zambian Commercial Banks including Zambia National Commercial Bank, National Savings & Credit Bank, Atlas Mara Bank Zambia Limited, Standard Chartered Zambia, Cavmont Bank, Barclays Bank of Zambia and Indo-Zambia Bank Limited. The town has VISA and ATM services.
Most people in Kasama are not formally employed and they run small businesses to earn a living. Kasama has around about six internet cafes where people can access internet services. The hospital is the Kasama General Hospital and other health posts or clinics in different townships, which provide locals with health services. The city has a central police station and several police posts. The available mobile telephone operators include MTN Group, Airtel Zambia and Zamtel.
Kasama has the following residential compounds within the district council boundaries: Central Town (the largest), New Town or Mbulo, Location, Mukulumpe and Chikumanino.

Mulenga Hills, Jazz, Tazara, Misamfu, Milima, Chiba, Chitamba, Brown, Winberg, Kasama, Kungu, Mutale/Milenge, Chisanga, Soft Katongo and Lua- Luo.
The city population grew considerably in the 1970s and 1980s after construction of the TAZARA Railway through the city, and the tarring of the Great North Road. Its population was 74,243 in 2000 and had increased to 113,779 in 2010 and by 2018 it had grown to 350,000.
